Maestra Benedetta Dalbesio is a true Renaissance Woman. One of ten children born into a musical family in Wisconsin, she has enjoyed a lifetime of involvement with music. She arrived in San Francisco, courtesy of the US Army, were she worked as a nurse at Letterman Army Hospital during the Viet Nam War. Afterwards, she earned a BA in Music and an MA in Education from Sonoma State University.

Ms. Dalbesio taught for ten years in Sebastopol, three years at the College of Marin, and ten years in the Novato Unified School District. Her musical groups have won numerous trophies and performance awards. Some of her students have even become Broadway performers.

This very busy, active mother of two and grandmother of four currently teaches music at the San Jose Middle School in Novato, offers private music instruction, and conducts two community bands.

In her spare time, Maestra Dalbesio enjoys traveling to exotic locations around the world where she can practice her passion for SCUBA diving.
