
Benedetta Dalbesio was born in Wisconsin and is one of ten children,
all whom played a musical instrument. She was a drum major in her high
school marching band. She was sent to California while in the Army during the Viet Nam war and worked
as a nurse at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco. It was during this time
she attended the College of Marin and Sonoma State to get her BA in music and
an MA in Education.
Ms. Dalbesio taught for ten years in Sebastopol, three years at the
College of Marin, and ten years in the Novato Unified School District,
working at Sinaloa and San Marin High School. Her musical groups have won numerous
trophies and awards in performance. Some of her students have even gone on to perform on Broadway in New York.
She's now conducting two adult concert bands on Monday and Thursday
evenings while running her own business, HUMAN.
