The Corte Madera Town Band was founded in April 1996 by Corte Madera resident Gwyn Lister. The goal was to play in the Twin Cities' 4th of July Parade that was only three months away. The Band won first prize in its category in the parade and was off and running!

Since then, the band has grown and continues to welcome new members. It is open to anyone who plays a Band instrument (or who played one years ago in school) and who would like to make music and have some fun! We have band members of all ages and from all walks of life. Join Us!

The Corte Madera Town Band performs about 10 times each year for events which include the Larkspur/Corte Madera 4th of July Parade (winning first and second place in three parades), the Oktoberfest, holiday concerts, and park dedications.
