The Corte Madera Town Band was founded in April, 1996, by Corte Madera resident and Band member, Gwyn Lister. The original goal was to play in the Corte Madera/Larkspur Fourth of July Parade, which was only three months away. The Band won first prize in its parade category, and was off and running.
